ARPAC/Legislative Committee

This Committee will be responsible for collecting funds for the Political Action
Committee.

Committee shall set goals for the Hot Springs Board of REALTORSÒ and strive to attain those goals.

The Committee shall keep a record of all contributions and a file copy with the EO.

The Committee will be responsible for presenting any awards at the monthly luncheon.

The Chairman will give reports of contributions when asked by the President to the membership.

The Committee will turn over all monies received to the EO ASAP.

The Legislative Committee cooperates with the Arkansas REALTORSâ Association in Little Rock.

The Committee is to be aware of National Legislative Proposals and to work to promote bills favorable to real estate and defeat bills that are unfavorable.

The Committee works with or in conjunctions with ARPAC as required in support of candidates for political office.

The Committee works with or in conjunction with the ARA Legislative Committee when required, to support or defeat national legislation proposals that ripple to the State Legislative level.

The Committee works in conjunction with ARPAC and the State Legislative Committee to recognize and honor state and national politicians.

The Committee is to be informed on the workings and structure of the National Association’s Congressional Contact System and its “Calls for Action”.

The Committee reports to the Board of Directors as required.

The Committee is expected to meet at least twice annually - the Executive Officer will act as Secretary for the Committee.  The Executive Officer shall keep and file copies of the minutes in a permanent file.
